We enjoyed breakfast and more conversation with John and Marna which meant we left Coeur d'Alene later than originally planned. Their invitation to stay for another night so they could show us more of the area was so tempting but we were trying to avoid oncoming snow storms which could have delayed our arrival in Chicago where we plan to spend a few days seeing family. We're certainly looking forward to a return trip to Coeur d'Alene and plan to accept John and Marna's invitation to spend time with them on Priest Lake.
We saw some beautiful views of Lake Coeur d'Alene on our way out of town but the snowy conditions kept us from finding a place to take good pictures. |
The sun sets early this time of year. That, combined with the cloudy and snowy weather, limited our picture taking but, as you'll see below, still gave us some beautiful views along the way.
The camera on my iPhone didn't even begin to do justice to this full moon over the mountains at dusk. You'll just have to use your imagination and trust me that it was a most captivating moonrise. |
